From Belgium to Mexico

Though she is only 20 years of age, for years Bauke Jespers is at the top of Belgian bowling. WIth the upcoming European Championships in Belgium she want to perform even better this year.

The past year turned out to be a good year. For the second year in a row Bauke went to the QubicaAMF World Cup to represent Belgium. After a solid 23rd place in 2016 things went even better in 2017:,,The past year  was really good for me, I went to Mexico and reached the top 24 and finished in 20th.''

After a short Christmas break the hard work starts again:,,This month we start preparing with the national team for the European Championships in Belgium.'' Despite the hard work and serious events Bauke hopes it's going to be fun:,,It's really nice if you can have fun and have a laugh at the lanes with the other bowlers.''

RIght after the European Championships the new international bowling tournament The Antwerp Belgian Open will be held in Bowlingstones Wommelgem:,,I really hope a lot of bowlers will participate and we can have a tournament like this every year in Belgium.''

A lot of challenges are ahead for Bauke in 2018, but she likes a good challenge  on the lanes:,,Bowling is different each time you bowl and you always learn something new.'' Though there's also something she doesn't like of the sport:,,I don't like to carry all the heavy bowlingballs to places far away from home all te time haha.''

The new year is going to be very exciting for Bauke. We wish her all the best and we will cheer for you in Brussels!
